Dancewave will present its Summer Dance Intensive for 10- to 18-year-olds from August 16 to 27 at the Old First Reformed Church, 729 Carroll Street, in Brooklyn, New York. Class offerings will include ballet, modern, street and theater jazz, salsa, tap, African, hip-hop, and Bollywood.

Students will perform dances they have learned or created at informal Fridays at Five on August 20 and 28. Dancewave’s Demitasse Summer Cafe, at which the work of professional guest choreographers is followed by an open discussion with the artist, will be held on August 18 and 25. Both sets of events are free and open to the public.

Also, Giada Ferrone will host an Advanced Summer Dance Intensive, open to high school and college students, from August 23 to 27.

Auditions for Summer Dance Intensive scholarships will be held April 17, May 22, and June 26 at The Dancewave Center, 45 Fourth Avenue, Brooklyn. Prior dance experience and pre-registration are required. To register, call 718.522.4696 or email jeso@dancewave.org.
