Nan said things I try to do each day and demand from my dancers, and the parents of the dancers. I sometimes get resistance on why things have to be a certain way but in the end I think they see why things have to be a that way. I do get the respect of the dancers and the families of the dancers in the end. Yes Nan setting the bar high is the right way to go!
I totally agree. We have a very strict dress code and believe in raising the bar on our students. They totally respect me and our studio. Whenever we go to competitions they always say thank you so very much for sticking to your guns and teaching our kids to respect themselves and the art of dance.
