‘Billy Elliot’ Seeks Adult Male/Female Dancers for Tour

Equity auditions for adult ensemble dancers will be held in April for the second national tour of Billy Elliot—The Musical, according to Playbill.com.
Billy Elliot is the 2009 winner of 10 Tony Awards including: Best Musical, Best Choreography, Best Book and Lyrics of a Musical, Best Actor in a Musical, and Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.
Cast members needed include men and women of all ages, shapes, and sizes with excellent tap and dance skills and strong singing voices. Ensemble will play miners, officials, parents, ballet school applicants, friends, and other featured specialties. Members also may understudy the principals.
Auditions will be held April 19 at Chelsea Studios, 151 W 26th Street, fifth floor, New York. Call for female Equity dancers is at 10am; male Equity dancers at 2pm.
Please be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Bring tap and character shoes or dance sneakers. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced.
