On My Mind: Words from the publisher

After many years of serving on the United Dance Merchants of America board of directors and attending the UDMA Dance Resource and Costume Show, I am honored to serve now as the organization’s president. Just as I admire school owners for working together to improve dance education, I have always respected UDMA’s ability to unite some of the largest and most respected vendors in the industry. Together these vendors donate thousands of dollars for National Dance Week, offer continuing education seminars for teachers and school owners, and produce the largest American trade show in the field.

If you have never been to a UDMA Dance Resource and Costume Show, consider this your personal invitation. The show offers school owners the opportunity to see and touch the latest costume offerings from major distributors and the chance to meet the owners of and representatives from the companies you love most.

The UDMA Dance Resource and Costume Show also features vendors whose products and services assist school owners with business growth, new income possibilities, and better organization. Attendees can explore the latest options in studio software, ticket sale programs, wholesale dancewear and shoes, performance events, competitions, conventions, curriculums, music, and more.

Mark your calendars and join us for one of our four shows in 2017: Worcester, Massachusetts, September 30 and October 1; Duluth, Georgia, October 7 and 8; Schaumburg, Illinois, October 14 and 15; and Edison, New Jersey, October 21 and 22. For more information, visit udma.org. I look forward to seeing you this fall.
