An evening of performances by aspiring Broadway-bound talent participating in the brand new Broadway Performance Project (BPP) will run July 11 and 12 at 7pm at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, New York.
BPP is presented by Group Theatre Too with choreographer Justin Boccitto and director Kimberly Vaughn, who—along with musical director Robert Webb—coached the 16 participants in singing interpretation and character development and led them through a workshop performance for industry professionals including Broadway director Scott Schwartz, talent manager Naomi Kolstein from Talent Express, and Dale Brown from Tara Rubin Casting.
BPP performers include Sarah Amandes, Elizabeth Doyle, Erin Elizabeth Eichhorn, Alina Fontanilla, David Gaynor, Abby Goldfarb, Sonia Hebe, Caitlin McCormick, Erin McNerney, Emily Nash, Chandra Perkins, Melanie Randall, Sarah Sanders, Melissa Vedrin, Stephanie Windland, and Hope Wright.
Vaughn, who brought the original concept of BPP to Group Theatre Too this January, directed Edward J. Moore’s Drama Desk Award-winning play The Sea Horse at The New Theatre of Harvard Square in Cambridge, and has also directed at The Helen Hayes Theatre in Nyack, Queens Theatre in the Park, Phoenix Little Theatre, and Circle in the Square.
