The Motor City will be revved up August 10 to 12 as more than 50 local, national, and international dancers and companies converge on the Detroit Dance City Festival (DDCF). Artists hailing from Spain to South Korea will perform and teach workshops in modern, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, followed by parties in the evenings where participants can network.

Event highlights include the Choreographers’ Showcase, which will present 22 curated works from around the world; Screen Dance International, a film festival spotlighting genres from street dance to contemporary, and an artist exchange program, in which a choreographer who presents work at this year’s DDCF will be chosen to present work at next year’s New Dance for Asia and New Dance Festival International in South Korea.
